Summary: This article describes a new type of brick that relieves the necessity of mortar. These 'v' shaped bricks are laid with the first course being attached to a purpose-made polymer starter track, and every fourth course after that is fixed with screws onto vertical battens. This new type of brick has significant time and labour savings.

yes i agree with anthony in that it will revolutionize the way in which we build saving both time and money. i noticed this was from a UK magazine so i was wondering if u had heard of this being used in Australia yet?
not sure if i agree with you guys about it revolutionizing construction in the future. Whilst it most certainly will save time and money, its final appearance is rather cheap and unapealing.
i would imagine that architects who took pride in thier work would be specifying the 'real thing' as opposed to this substitute.
it perhaps may be used by large residential development companies, whos main prioritys are centred around speed and efficiency as opposed to quality of workmanship.
ontop of the asthetic qualities which it significantly lacks, i wonder how it would perform thermally compared to brick...?
